Job summary

West Columbia Family Dentistry, part of Heartland Dental, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. You will greet patients, review health histories, and provide four-handed chairside assistance during a range of procedures.

Proficiency with Dentrix and OSHA/CDC guidelines is expected. The role includes handling x-ray duties, using iTero and digital photography, and maintaining room readiness to support clinicians and ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced customer-centric environments.
• HIPAA training and data privacy awareness.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients from the start of their dental journey.
• Review health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records.
• Prepare treatment room with safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place orders as needed.
