Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join a supportive team. You will greet patients, review health history, and assist dentists with a variety of procedures using modern technology such as iTero and Dentrix.

This role emphasizes patient care, safety, and efficient workflow. Ideal candidates have dental assisting certification and experience in fast-paced settings, with strong communication skills and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• VA x-ray certification and HIPAA awareness.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and educate patients throughout treatment journey.
• Review health history to inform quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic images (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance (four-handed dentistry) to dentists.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA/CDC guidance.
• Manage supplies and place orders to maintain inventory.
• Collaborate with Heartland Dental team to optimize office workflow.
