Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join the Idaho State Correctional Center team in Kuna, Idaho. You will assist a dentist and/or hygienist in chairside procedures within a correctional setting, prepare and sterilize instruments, maintain the operatory, and handle radiographic duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a dental assisting program (or six months of experience), and Idaho DA license or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a dental assisting program or six months of experience preferred.
• Idaho DA license or ability to obtain license required.
• Certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant preferred; if not possessed, must obtain in first year.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and maintain operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment and take dental X-rays as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks related to dental clinic operations.
