Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team at North Idaho Correctional Institution in Cottonwood, ID. The role supports the Dentist and Hygienist in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting.

Responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing instruments, maintaining the operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and handling related administrative tasks. A path to licensure and certification is required as noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its recognized equivalent is required.
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience is required.
• Idaho DA license or ability to obtain license is required.
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant is preferred; if not current, must be obtained in the first year.

• Assist Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and maintain the dental operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment and perform related tasks.
• Complete additional administrative tasks as needed.
• Work under direct supervision and support dental staff.

Education
