Job Location: ID, Cottonwood - North Idaho Correctional Institution - Cottonwood, ID. Position Type: Part-Time. Education Level: High School Diploma/GED. Salary Range: Undisclosed. Job Category: Dental Hygienist & Dental Assistant, Part Time (12 hours a week) 2, 6 hour day shifts a week -flexible hours

$19.00-$20.25/hour, depending on experience

We are currently seeking a part time Dental Assistant to join our team at North Idaho Correctional Institution located in Cottonwood, ID.

The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.

Additional responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, preparing and maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and additional administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its recognized equivalent
• Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant required
• Idaho DA license or ability to obtain license
• Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment
• Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred
• Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
