Job summary

Heartland Dental is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team in Titusville, FL. You will greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, and provide four-handed chairside assistance to supported dentists while maintaining strict safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have dental assistant and x-ray certification, strong communication skills, and experience with Dentrix. Excellent organizational abilities and HIPAA training are required.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training and PHI data safeguards required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey and educate during treatment.
• Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures per state guidelines.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and records management.
• Prepare treatment rooms following OSHA & CDC safety protocols.
• Manage supplies and place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve office workflow.
