Position Details

Title: Dental Assistant

Position Summary: The role involves various clinical duties to promote effective and efficient practice operations and foster positive relations with patients, staff, dentists, and external customers.

Key Duties

1. Set up rooms for operative procedures.
2. Efficiently turn over rooms.
3. Seat patients and obtain consents.
4. Stock/restock rooms with instruments prior to procedures.
5. Sterilize operatory and instruments after each patient according to OSHA / CDC standards.
6. Stay aware of schedule changes and prioritize actions accordingly.
7. Utilize office equipment for taking and scanning films.
8. Assist hygienists with charting accurately and efficiently.
9. Assist dentists during treatments.
10. Perform lab duties such as pouring models and fabricating whitening trays.
11. Send cases to dental labs and enter information into software with accurate return dates.
12. Maintain CPR certification.
