Job summary

Risas Dental and Braces is seeking a friendly and professional bilingual Dental Assistant to join our team. You will educate patients on dental treatments, assist doctors, and help maintain efficient patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• X-ray certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Coronal polish certification preferred.
• 1-2 years' experience in the dental field preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior knowledge of dental clinical operations and terminology.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of the doctor and patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors in all dental procedures and treatment.
• Sterilize, disinfect and prepare instruments and equipment for patient treatment.
• Educate patients on general oral healthcare as directed by the doctor.
• Present treatment to patients based on doctor recommendations.
• Complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients efficiently.
• Record patient charting and all the doctor’s notes in the digital patient chart as directed.
• Maintain inventory and supplies.
• Maintain strict compliance with state, federal, and other regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, and Risas policies and practices).
• Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
