Job summary

Imagix Dental of Hickory Flat in Woodstock, GA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team with a high level of patient care in a collaborative setting. You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures while maintaining patient comfort and education.

Responsibilities include radiography, impressions, and record-keeping, with emphasis on infection control and safety.

Qualifications

• Two or more years on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation).
• X-Ray certification.
• Expanded Duties Dental Assistant - Required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment.
