Bright SmilesFamily Dentistry in Marble Falls, TX is seeking a Temporary Dental Assistant to support our clinical team with patient care and treatment in a team-based environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Dental Assistant – required.
• One year or more on-the-job experience with documentation.
• X-Ray certification is required; nitrous oxide certification recommended.
• Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, CPR training annually.

Responsibilities

• Clinical support: prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient care: welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & diagnostics: take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models.
• Compliance & safety: ensure infection control protocols and patient confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling; assist in emergencies with CPR readiness.

Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Registered Dental Assistant - Required
• One year or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
