• Patient care: welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & diagnostics: take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, maintain study models.
• Compliance & safety: ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, follow regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling as needed.

Dental Health Associates is looking for a Dental Assistant in Verona, Virginia to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
• X-Ray certification - Required
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
