Imagix Dental of Hickory Flat in Woodstock, GA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support the clinical team with patient care and treatment assistance. Prior dental assisting experience is required to join our team.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, taking X-rays, assisting dentists, and maintaining patient records in a modern practice with advanced dental technology.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of on-the-job experience (with documentation).
• X-ray certification.
• Expanded Duties Dental Assistant - Required.
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist in emergencies by supporting CPR readiness and having emergency supplies available.

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
