Dental Assistant

Spring View Dental Care is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team.

• Join a 7-person team that thrives on collaboration, communication, and community.
• Positive, hard-working, team atmosphere.
• Full-time; Tuesday-Friday 7:45-5:00; potential to work half days on Mondays as needed; no weekends!
• Flexibility required as we are growing and adding a new Doctor.

Experience

• 1+ years of experience as a dental assistant preferred; ability to train a newly graduated dental assistant.
• Experience with Dentrix or other dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification and/or Expanded Functions preferred.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Access to minimum PHI necessary for job functions; regular HIPAA training required; must protect PHI and maintain data safeguards.

More about the role

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history for quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state dental practice laws.
• Use Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory, place orders as needed.
• Collaborate with team to implement systems and optimize workflow.
