Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services in New Mexico is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials. You will pass instruments, assist in procedures, and help ensure compliance with New Mexico dental standards.

The role includes taking x-rays, IOs, and charting treatment plans with the doctor, while maintaining sterilization and room setup. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, and certification or related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene and charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient\'s treatment and treatment plan with doctor
