Job summary

Kids Dental Brands in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our kid-friendly, modern practice. This full-time role involves chair-side support with dentists, taking and processing radiographs, preparing and sterilizing instruments, and helping patients feel comfortable throughout care.

Certification as a Dental Assistant is required, CDA or RDA preferred, with additional x-ray and nitrous certifications considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Certifications Required: CDA or RDA.
• No previous experience required but must have Dental Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of the patient\'s teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
• Ask about the patient\'s medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures.

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $13.00depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday-Friday
