Job summary

Kids Dental Brands in Hamilton, Ohio is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to join our upbeat, kid-friendly team. You will work chair-side with dentists, take radiographs, prepare and sterilize instruments, and help ensure a positive patient experience for children.

No previous experience is required, but you must hold a Dental Assistant certification (CDA or RDA). X-ray certification and nitrous/sealant certificates are a plus, with competitive salary starting at $19 per hour and benefits

Qualifications

• Certifications Required: CDA or RDA.
• X-ray certification and Sealant polishing & Nitrous Certification are a plus.
• No prior experience required but must have Dental Assistant certification.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of the patient's teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $19.00depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday - Friday
