Job summary

Kids Dental Brands in Gladstone, MO is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant for our KC Dentistry 4 Kids practice. You will work chair-side with dentists, assist with patient care, take x-rays, and help with impressions and sterilization.

No prior experience required if you have a Dental Assistant certification; starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with potential increases for certifications and experience; benefits and on-site schedule Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have Dental Assistant certification (CDA/RDA preferred).
• X-ray certification is a plus; Sealant polishing and Nitrous certification are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists and perform patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of teeth; assist with extractions and fillings.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and nutrition.
• Ask about medical history and monitor blood pressure and pulse.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-treatment oral care instructions.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary: Starting at $20.00 depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay: up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule: On-site. Monday-Friday
