Job summary

Greenville Kids Dental is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to work in our Greenville office. We seek a compassionate team member who wants to help children maintain healthy smiles and contribute to a positive community health impact.

The ideal candidate has a Dental Assistant certification (CDA or RDA preferred) with the ability to take radiographs, prepare instruments, and guide patients on proper oral care. On-site schedule, competitive starting pay, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant required or CDA/RDA eligibility.
• Must have Dental Assistant certification.
• Experience not required but certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Work chair-side with dentists and provide patient care.
• Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays).
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
• Take impressions of the patient’s teeth (models).
• Teach patients proper oral hygiene strategies and nutrition counseling.
• Ask about medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.
• Provide post-procedure instructions for oral care.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

• Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
• Takeand processdental radiographs (x-rays)
• Prepareand sterilizeinstruments and equipment
• Takeimpressions of the patient's teeth(models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
• Teachpatients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
• Askabout the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
• Helppatients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures

At a Glance

• Certifications Required: CDA or RDA.
• Additional Certifications:X-ray certification, Sealant polishing & Nitrous Certification is a plus.
• Experience: No previous experience required butmust have Dental Assistant certification
• Job Type:Full-time

Compensation and Schedule

• Salary:Starting at $16.50 depending on certifications. Additional increases for experience
• Bonus Pay:up to $600 additional per month
• Schedule:On-site. Monday-Friday
