Centurion Health seeks a full-time Dental Assistant for Tomoka Correctional Institution in Daytona Beach, Florida. The role supports dentists and hygienists in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting, handling instrument sterilization, operatory prep, radiographic duties, and related admin tasks.

Requirements include a high school diploma (or equivalent), Florida DA license or ability to obtain, and CPR certification; expanded duty certification is preferred, with the certificate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Florida DA license or ability to obtain license required.
• Expanded duty dental assistant certification preferred; if not, obtain within first year.
• Dental x-ray certification preferred.
• Maintain TB screening documentation and CPR certification.
• Ability to obtain security clearance including background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments.
• Prepare and maintain the dental operatory.
• Operate radiographic equipment.
• Perform administrative tasks as needed.

Centurion is proud to be the provider of dental services to the Florida Department of Corrections.We are currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join our team at Tomoka Correctional Institution located in Daytona Beach, Florida.The Dental Assistant works under the direct supervision, assisting the Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist in chairside dentistry in a correctional setting.
