Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is seeking team members to support patient care across multiple sites in the United States. The role emphasizes safety, infection control, and accurate charting of treatments and procedures—while ensuring rooms are prepared and cleaned to standard.

The position involves educating patients, monitoring their well-being during visits, and occasional travel (10-15%) with a valid driver’s license; bilingual Spanish candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active CPR and AED training.
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide.
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training.
  • Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful.
  • Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS certifications are a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
  • Driver's license and use of personal vehicle may be required for travel between sites.

  • Educating patients and parents on oral health benefits.
  • Monitoring patient well-being during visits.
  • Preparing tray setups per doctor preferences.
  • Keeping exam rooms clean, disinfected, and stocked.
  • Charting treatments and updating patient charts.
  • Reviewing health history and confirming chief concerns.
  • Taking diagnostic X-Rays and attaching to charts.

Job description

The company’s team of 100+ award-winning doctors provide a full range of general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and board-certified pediatric dental services Rodeo locations throughout the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active CPR and AED training
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
  • Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful

  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
  • This position may require the employee to use his/her personal vehicle to travel to different work sites during the course of the work day, which means you would need an active, valid Driver’s License.
  • Compensation Range: $20-$24 per hour.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Focusing on Patient Safety and Team Safety as priority one
  • Adhering to OSHA and Infection Control Protocols, and disposing of sharps and clinical waste in a prompt and safe manner
  • Maintaining digital patient artifacts such as health history, insurance eligibility, treatment plans, pre-authorizations, lab requests, procedures, and appointment details
  • Educating patients and parents on the benefits of good oral health
  • Monitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being during the entire visit
  • Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
  • Ensuring that exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, disinfected, organized, and stocked according to the required standards at the beginning and end of each patient interaction
  • Charting existing treatment for new patients by updating the patient chart with entries for fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.
  • Reviewing the patient chart and health history prior to the doctor arrival and reconfirming the patient's chief concern
  • Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
  • Helping the Rodeo Team clean surfaces, sinks, floors and common areas of exam rooms, operatories, reception, break rooms, restrooms, etc.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
