Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Denver, CO is hiring a versatile dental support team member focused on patient safety and smooth clinic operations. The role emphasizes charting, sterilization, patient education, and assisting doctors across general dentistry and orthodontics while upholding OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control standards.

Travel to different sites (10-15%) may be required, and a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Active CPR and AED training.
  • Current certification to monitor nitrous oxide.
  • Annual OSHA, HIPAA and infection control training required.
  • Dental software experience (Open Dental, Dentrix) helpful.
  • Sealant/Coronal polishing/PALS certifications are a plus.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.
  • Valid Driver's License may be required for site travel.

  • Focusing on patient safety and team safety as priority one.
  • Adhering to OSHA and infection control protocols; disposing of sharps and clinical waste safely.
  • Maintain digital patient records: health history, eligibility, treatment plans, pre-authorizations, lab requests, procedures, appointments.
  • Educate patients and parents on oral health benefits.
  • Monitor patient well-being during visits.
  • Prepare tray setups per doctor preferences.
  • Clean, disinfect, and stock exam rooms and operatories.

Job description

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is one of the fastest growing, multi-specialty dental groups in the country.

The company’s team of 100+ award-winning doctors provide a full range of general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and board-certified pediatric dental services Rodeo locations throughout the United States.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active CPR and AED training
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
  • Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
  • Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS Certifications are all a huge plus!
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred
  • Ability to travel 10-15% of the time
  • This position may require the employee to use his/her personal vehicle to travel to different work sites during the course of the work day, which means you would need an active, valid Driver’s License.
  • Compensation Range: $20-$24 per hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Focusing on Patient Safety and Team Safety as priority one
  • Adhering to OSHA and Infection Control Protocols, and disposing of sharps and clinical waste in a prompt and safe manner
  • Maintaining digital patient artifacts such as health history, insurance eligibility, treatment plans, pre-authorizations, lab requests, procedures, and appointment details
  • Educating patients and parents on the benefits of good oral health
  • Monitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being during the entire visit
  • Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
  • Ensuring that exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, disinfected, organized, and stocked according to the required standards at the beginning and end of each patient interaction
  • Charting existing treatment for new patients by updating the patient chart with entries for fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.
  • Reviewing the patient chart and health history prior to the doctor arrival and reconfirming the patient's chief concern
  • Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
  • Helping the Rodeo Team clean surfaces, sinks, floors and common areas of exam rooms, operatories, reception, break rooms, restrooms, etc.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
