Job summary

Pacsun, based in Los Angeles, seeks a Buyer to manage end-to-end retail merchandising, from product selection to vendor negotiations and inventory planning. You will align assortments with brand and financial goals while mentoring junior buyers.

In this role you will forecast demand, monitor profitability, and work with planning, design, production, marketing, and ecommerce to integrate purchasing strategies across the company.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in retail merchandising.
• Strong negotiation skills, financial acumen, strategic thinking.
• Leadership abilities and ability to balance customer demand with profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead the product selection process for categories and develop buying strategies.
• Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms with suppliers; manage relationships.
• Control the buying budget and monitor profitability of selections.
• Forecast demand and manage stock to avoid overstock or stockouts.
• Collaborate with planning, design, production, marketing and ecommerce teams.
