Job summary

Pacsun, a Los Angeles-based lifestyle retailer, is seeking an Inventory Planning professional to develop and execute financial plans for merchandising categories. The role requires strong analytical skills and a track record of improving profitability across retail and ecommerce channels.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years in inventory management, a related bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in inventory management and planning at item level
• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of financial metrics including sales, GMROI, and inventory turn

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain strategic financial plans tied to merchandising strategies
• Plan sales, inventory, markdowns and margins at department/class level
• Perform pre-season and in-season planning and forecast adjustments
• Build pre-season class plans at price types (regular and markdown) and weekly levels
• Analyze risks and opportunities at division/class level
• Communicate Open-to-Buy forecasts to management and cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with merchants and allocation to move business toward profit
• Recap actual sales vs plan and adjust future forecasts
