Job summary

Veit is seeking a Demolition & Blasting Superintendent to join our team, based out of Rogers, MN or New Berlin, WI. The role requires travel and oversight of daily site activities to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

You will manage lead personnel, coordinate subcontractors, and drive safety culture across projects. Union-based employment offers comprehensive benefits and a focus on teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years’ Heavy Industrial Demolition experience.
• OSHA 30 hour, HAZWOPER certificate, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
• Reading, analyzing and interpreting policies, reports, plans, specifications, and legal documents.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and have a valid driver's license with clean MVR.
• Willingness to travel 25–75% within the Midwest region.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily site activities to ensure safety, design, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Directly manage lead personnel and staff on each project site.
• Schedule subcontractors and monitor work for compliance with agreements.
• Maintain safe working environment and lead daily safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and regular project lifecycle reviews.
