Job summary

Veit & Company, Inc. is seeking a Demolition Superintendent to lead field teams on industrial projects across the Midwest. You will ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project design and budget while directly managing lead personnel on site.

This role requires 5–10 years of demolition experience, critical safety credentials, and strong communication and planning skills. Travel up to 75% within the Midwest is expected, and union project environments are common.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years' heavy industrial demolition experience.
• OSHA 30 hour, HAZWOPER, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR and First Aid.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, and legal documents.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, iPad and iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily site activities to meet safety, design, budget, and schedule.
• Directly manage lead personnel and staff on each project site.
• Schedule subcontractors and monitor work to ensure compliance with contracts.
• Maintain a safe working environment by identifying hazards and taking corrective actions.
• Prepare daily logs, equipment schedules, material schedules, and time cards.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and project site meetings.
• Document safety issues and ensure quality compliance.
