Job summary

Veit is seeking a Superintendent for the Demolition & Blasting team, based out of Rogers, MN or New Berlin, WI, with travel across the Midwest. You will manage daily site activities to meet safety, design, budget, and schedule targets, while leading lead personnel on each project site.

The role requires 5–10 years of heavy industrial demolition experience and relevant certifications. You will coordinate with superintendents, schedule subcontractors, ensure safety, and maintain thorough project

Qualifications

• Five to ten years’ Heavy Industrial Demolition experience.
• OSHA 30 hour, HAZWOPER certificate, Excavating Safety Training, Blueprint Training, CPR, First Aid.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, and legal documents.
• Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel spreadsheets, iPad and iPhone.
• Ability to communicate and schedule project needs appropriately.
• Good communication skills both oral and written when working with all levels of management and employees, external vendors and other business associates.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages lead personnel and staff on each project site.
• Schedule subcontractors and monitor work per subcontractor agreements.
• Maintain safe working environment and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Prepare and participate in regular job site meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide timely documentation for safety issues, equipment damage and injuries.
