About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Demand Generation Director to lead the execution of multi-channel demand generation campaigns. The candidate will work closely with Sales and Product to drive qualified leads, increase brand awareness, and contribute to the company's revenue goals.

Working closely with the VP, they will develop and own the demand generation strategy and then plan, implement, and optimize marketing campaigns to generate leads and drive pipeline growth.

We are looking for an outstanding communicator with a talent for persuasive writing, expertise in ecommerce or retail, and a proven track record of successful lead generation across various channels.

This role will focus on promoting Bizrate Insights via email, content marketing, paid search, social media, video, podcasts, influencer marketing, and promotions. As part of a close-knit team, you'll thrive in this role if you're eager to be directly responsible for success, ready to be hands-on, self-motivated, and are comfortable executing strategies independently. As an individual contributor, this unique role gives you the opportunity to both shape strategy and roll up your sleeves for tactical execution.

Primary Responsibilities

Demand Generation Strategy & Execution

  • Develop, own, and implement demand generation strategies focused on lead acquisition and conversion.
  • Direct and optimize multi-channel campaigns across email, paid search, content, video, and social media.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling ecommerce-focused content that resonates with retail decision-makers.
  • Work with the team to develop assets like landing pages, emails, and CTAs.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of customer needs and our product's strengths to craft the most effective strategy for reaching customers, highlighting how our unique value proposition addresses their specific challenges.
  • Write compelling, conversion-oriented copy for ads, emails, and landing pages.
  • Bring energy and ideas to content development planning in ecommerce and ancillary topics.

Lead Nurturing & MQL Development

  • Design and execute lead nurturing programs that move prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Optimize lead scoring models to prioritize high-quality leads.
  • Close the loop with ongoing communications with Sales and Accounts.
  • Marketing Operations & Automation
  • Manage and optimize HubSpot for effective demand generation activities.
  • Develop marketing automation workflows, including lead nurturing, lead scoring, and segmentation.
  • Run marketing campaigns using HubSpot for optimal reporting.
  • Campaign Performance Analysis & Reporting
  • Track and analyze demand generation campaign performance, providing regular updates.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize ongoing campaigns.
  • Maintain strong competency in performance tracking in HubSpot and Google Analytics.

Marketing Technology & Process Optimization

  • Evaluate new marketing technologies to enhance demand generation efforts.
  • Document processes for campaign execution and data analysis.
  • Develop campaign documentation and keep a best practices guide.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B demand generation with demonstrable success
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in ecommerce or retail technology marketing
  • Experience working in lean marketing teams with hands-on execution requirements
  • Retail, ecommerce, and SaaS experience required
  • Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
  • Strong working knowledge of GA4
  • Google Ads Certification
  • LinkedIn Marketing Certification
  • Strong expertise in HubSpot marketing automation tools – certification is ideal
  • Experience with video production and distribution platforms is ideal
  • Demonstrated ability to both strategize and execute independently
  • Track record of success in ecommerce lead generation
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities, particularly for conversion copy

Pay Range

Salary: Remote US: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
