Job summary

A propane delivery company is seeking an enthusiastic individual to drive delivery vehicles in Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities include making deliveries in various weather conditions and achieving delivery objectives. Candidates must also be capable of lifting 40-50 pounds and passing pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of CDL experience.
• Ability to frequently lift cylinders weighing 40-50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations.

Job description

This position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Team‑Work. Making deliveries in all type of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.

• Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• This position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to our customer locations.
• This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Team‑Work.
• Prior gas delivery experience helpful
• CDL Hazmat, tanker, and air brakes endorsements required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers
• Flexibility to work outside of basic job description
• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to pass pre‑employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager.
