PepUp is seeking a Petroleum Delivery Driver for a seasonal role based in Cambridge, MD. Responsibilities include safely delivering propane to customers, inspecting the delivery vehicle, and assisting in sales and customer service initiatives.

The Petroleum Delivery Driver position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, customer Service and Employee Teamwork. Making deliveries in all types of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.
This seasonal position runs approximately 6 months each year, from October through March.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Driving a company vehicle. This job operates in the field, and you will be entering the customers’ homes and/or place of business. Working in hot attics or cold places must always provide an excellent and positive attitude toward the customer. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions due to weather.
Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations. Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance. Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures. Engages in daily interaction with customers and provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries. Assists with sales initiatives. Performs responsibilities in on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response. Ensures all DOT requirements are met at all times. Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to yard and plant maintenance or dock work. Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check. Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager. Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a Hazmat endorsement and Tanker endorsement. Employee must be capable of frequently lifting cylinders weighing 40-50 pounds. Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check. Must have a Hazmat license. Minimum 2-year CDL license.
