Job summary

PepUp in Federalsburg, MD is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver who can safely operate a delivery vehicle and provide exceptional customer service in all weather. You will inspect your vehicle daily, perform deliveries to residential and commercial locations, and maintain DOT compliance while communicating clearly with customers.

You must hold a CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (or be actively pursuing them) and be able to lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Minimum 2-year CDL license.
• Employees must be capable of frequently lifting 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager. Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• Safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations.
• Maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward safety, sales, customer service and teamwork.
• Prior gas delivery experience is helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly with existing and potential customers.

The Propane Delivery Driver position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, customer Service and Employee Teamwork. Making deliveries in all types of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.

Working Conditions

Driving a company vehicle. This job operates in the field, and you will be entering the customers’ homes and/or place of business. Working in hot attics or cold places must always provide an excellent and positive attitude toward the customer. While performing the duties of this job in the field, the employee is occasionally exposed to small working spaces, fumes, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions due to weather.
