Job summary

Sysco Eastern Wisconsin is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Racine, WI to oversee delivery operations and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on supervising Delivery Associates, enforcing SOPs, planning routes, and maintaining quality service.

The ideal candidate will manage labor, schedules, and asset use while collaborating with Sales/Marketing to resolve issues, all within a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2-4 year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to SOPs and planned routes.
• Ensures Delivery Associate compliance with DOT/OSHA and keeps electronic logs current.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget.
• Prepares work schedules including extra days and shifts as needed.
• Oversees asset utilization in support of the Delivery department.
• Interprets trains and enforces company policies and procedures including food safety and record keeping.
• Coordinates with Sales Management and Marketing to resolve customer or delivery issues.
• Visits customer locations to address issues and assess delivery difficulty.
• Maintains open communication with associates and monitors morale.
