Job summary

Wafna in California is seeking a Delivery Routes Planner to optimize daily routes, determine stops, and assign trucks to meet delivery demands efficiently. You will prepare loading and driver sheets, ensure weight limits are respected, and verify that all vehicles maintain correct temperatures and that routes reflect the latest updates.

Responsibilities

• Plans the delivery routes for each driver to meet daily delivery demands.
• Determines needed stops and efficient use of available trucks.
• Ensure proper legal weight limits are observed.
• Prepares loading and driver sheets with the route for each day.
• Updates weekly and master loading sheets for planning and evaluation.
• Ensure vehicles are set to proper temperatures.
• Ensure buildings and trailers are secured at shift end.
• Train and supervise employees in preferred work methods.
• Perform at least one ten‑minute safety meeting per week.
• Assist the logistics manager with employee performance reviews.
• Monitor delivery status and share information with SC.
• Responsible for add-ons or deletions for daily routes.
• Ensure CODs are properly collected by drivers.
• Enforce policies including FSMA, DOT, and record keeping.
• Review and adjust routes based on discrepancies from the previous day.
• Ensure drivers follow FSMA and Sanitary Transportation guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
