Job summary

The North American Transportation Management Institute is seeking an Operations Supervisor to oversee delivery staff, ensure on-time performance, and enforce safety and regulatory standards. You will direct daily activities, monitor routes, and maintain records to support reliable customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2- or 4-year degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management or similar major preferred.
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training.
• HazMat certification preferred; Valid Class A CDL meeting Company standards preferred; Defensive driving training required by Sysco.
• Excellent computer skills; read/write English; able to read reports and write business correspondence.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive results.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the daily work and safety of Delivery Associates, including adherence to procedures and planned routes.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with DOT, OSHA and other agencies; maintains accurate logs.
• Manages labor hours and consumables within budget; prepares work schedules.
• Coordinates with Sales and Marketing to address customer issues and delivery opportunities.
• Oversees asset utilization and coordinates repairs with appropriate departments.
• Participates in safety initiatives with the Safety department and conducts incident investigations.
