Job summary

BCforward is seeking an IT Project Manager III / Delivery Lead in Charlotte, NC for a 12-month contract. You will lead agile delivery, manage budgets, coordinate cross-functional teams, and maintain Jira boards to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with stakeholder goals.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with experience in Jira, financial management, and both Agile and Waterfall practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in project management and Agile frameworks.
• Primary skill: Agile tools, especially Jira.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of financial principles and budget management.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project success.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
• Proficiency in reporting and presenting project status to leadership.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-management skills.
• Knowledge of project and software development methodologies and techniques.
• Experience managing people and delivering functionality across multiple projects.
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and working experience with Jira.
• Knowledge of AI tools such as Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and close projects using Agile methodologies while managing scope, schedule, and budget.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals and remove impediments.
• Maintain Jira boards, backlogs, and reporting to track progress and dependencies.
• Manage project finances, including forecasting, tracking, and variance analysis.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues with clear action plans.
• Provide concise status reporting and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.
• Facilitate ceremonies, workshops, and decision forums to drive alignment and outcomes.
