The Delivery Lead co-owns end-to-end delivery of business solutions for the scope of the Delivery Team with Transformation & Change Delivery (TCD) Delivery Lead. Understands the strategy, needs, and challenges of the business partners s/he supports as well as the end-to-end processes for those businesses. Oversees all applications supporting that customer group to ensure service levels are received and system changes are delivered to expectation. Accountable for the design, delivery, and support of solution.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Leading an impactful application delivery team supporting AXA XL’s corporate Finance business functions including Accounting, Financial Reporting, Tax, Treasury, and Solvency II reporting functions.
- Working closely with key business stakeholders to manage critical finance processes including monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles to meet local, regulatory, and AXA group deadlines.
- Manage end-to-end data processing from Insurance systems through to General Ledger and Financial Reporting Systems working collaboratively with cross-functional teams ensuring financial data integrity throughout the architecture.
- Delivering high impact bespoke and packaged solutions leveraging hands-on design, development, technical architecture experience leading global teams including internal staff and external vendor resources and successfully delivering complex business solutions.
- Establish the scope of services, service levels, and key processes required to deliver application services within the application portfolio.
- Produce and maintain the roadmap of change associated with the application group.
- Align team to high-level organization goals and objectives.
- Manage and report on budget and resource allocation and utilization.
- Monitor supplier performance reports and address concerns.
- Review and approve contracts for a predetermined level of authority.
- Assist procurement to manage vendor relations and maintain vendor accountability.
- Oversee Continuous Service Improvement initiatives to ensure continuously improving processes and capabilities.
- Interface with internal and external auditors.
- Support resolution of escalated risks and issues as a part of service delivery.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Produce high-level estimates as needed.
- May participate as a member of a Major Incident Team.
- Manage threats to application assets.
- Protect and maintain AXA XL’s Intellectual Property.
- Ensure all processes are documented and maintained.
- Develop change management strategies and approaches and assist business partners with readiness and change implementation.
- Provides audit support for both internal and external assessments; articulates policies and standards as appropriate and provides all required evidence on a timely basis. Owns the completion of any action plans.
- Ensures the Solution Delivery Center adheres to Information Security policies and standards for secure coding and manages risk acceptances.
- In collaboration with Procurement, manages RFI/RFPs, contract negotiations, and delivery of contract terms. Also manages clean termination of contracts with vendors who consistently underperform.
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Experience leading global application development teams supporting Financial systems for the Insurance Industry.
- Experience managing Oracle EBS General Ledger and OBIA Reporting environment is desired.
- Experience managing complex financial data and reporting systems in a high volume environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills delivering high impact bespoke and packaged solutions for the insurance industry.
- Demonstrated hands-on design, development, technical architecture experience leading global teams including internal staff and external vendor resources and successfully delivering complex business solutions.
- Expert level experience in planning and executing complex, large scale initiatives or operational area.
- Budget, supply, and resource management for in-scope applications and services.
- Hold suppliers accountable for performance against Service Levels.
- Measurable improvements in service delivery over time.
- High customer confidence in delivery capability.
- Internal and external audit support.
- Risk identification and mitigation.
- Knowledge Management strategy for process, training, and applications.
- Effective communication skills, particularly on key matters relating to the application grouping to stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Proven planning and organization skills, creating own work schedules, prioritizing workload, preparing in advance, and setting realistic timescales.
- Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc. Comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.
- Experience with AS400, Mainframe, DB2, and Informatica technologies. Cloud migration skillset preferred.
