Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Portland, ME is seeking a motivated driver with a valid CDL B to join our local delivery team.

This role features a 4-day work week, early morning shifts starting between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM, and local routes departing from your work location. Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of Hours-of-Service rules.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely climb in/out of vehicle cargo box.
• Strong communication with customers.
• Delivery driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily local delivery routes from the work location.
• Work a 4-day schedule with early AM shifts (2:00–5:00 AM).
• Interface with customers and maintain professional appearance and service.
• Coordinate with local management for route planning and schedule adherence.
• Complete pre/post trip inspections and comply with DOT regulations.

This employment opportunity is a great fit for a motivated, hard-working person that likes to work independently with a lot of variety throughout the workday. This position is a 4-day schedule with shift start times between 2:00AM-5:00AM depending upon the route and driver preferences. Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL
• Existing or ability to obtain a DOT medical Card
• Operational Knowledge of Hours-of-Service rules and regulations
• Ability to perform safe pre/post trip inspections in accordance with DOT standards
• Good communication skills and ability to interface positively with customers
• Delivery type job experience a plus
• Ability to lift up 50 lbs and safely climb in and out of vehicle cargo box
• Able to operate handheld/mobile computers to transact sales & delivery documents
