Job summary

Oakhurst is seeking a full-time Truck Driver in Portland, ME. This role offers 5-day work weeks with early morning start times between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM, depending on route and driver preference. You will drive a Class A CDL vehicle, and home daily with a strong compensation package and benefits.

Starting pay is $1,750 to $1,850 per week, with a full benefits package including 401(k), medical & dental, FSA/HSA, PTO, life and vision insurance. Relocation not required, on-site work location.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb in/out of cargo box
• Operational knowledge of Hours-of-Service rules (DOT)
• Good communication with customers
• Ability to operate handheld computers for sales and delivery docs

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily local routes from Portland, ME departing from the work location
• Maintain on-time deliveries with minimal downtime and safe driving practices
• Coordinate with local management for route planning and scheduling
• Possess a clean safety record and complete pre/post trip inspections

This position is a 5-day schedule with shift start times between 2:00AM-5:00AM depending upon the route and driver preferences. Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Existing or ability to obtain a DOT medical Card
• Operational Knowledge of Hours-of-Service rules and regulations
• Ability to perform safe pre/post trip inspections in accordance with DOT standards
• Good communication skills and ability to interface positively with customers
• Delivery type job experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up 50 lbs and safely climb in and out of vehicle cargo box or trailer
• Able to operate handheld/mobile computers to transact sales & delivery documents
