Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking an enthusiastic driver to operate a 26 ft box truck in the Dothan, AL area. You will collect sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare locations and deliver high levels of customer service daily.

This is a full-time role with consistent hours (5AM to 3PM) and benefits from day one. A valid DOT medical card is required and experience with DOT inspections is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years delivery experience with a 26 ft box truck and a valid DOT medical card.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Can-do attitude with strong customer focus; proven longevity in past employment.
• Touch freight experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 26 ft box truck safely.
• Collect and deliver medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build relationships.
• Meet deliveries to schedule and communicate changes clearly.
• Load, unload, and organize the truck per schedule.
• Comply with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Push/pull a four-wheeled cart weighing up to 200 lbs.

What will your job involve?

• Operating 26 ft box truck in a safe manner
• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 2 YEARS Delivery experience within a 26 foot box truck and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
• TOUCH FREIGHT EXPERIENCE!!!
