Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in Dothan, AL is hiring a driver to operate a 26 ft box truck delivering and collecting medical waste containers from healthcare locations. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and reliable on-time deliveries.

This full-time position offers 40–50 hours weekly, Monday–Friday 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a $20.00 hourly rate, and benefits from day one. Prior delivery in a box truck and a valid DOT medical card are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years delivery experience in a 26 ft box truck and valid DOT medical card.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• DOT compliance, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus.
• DIRECT HIRE – Full-time role, 40–50 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Operate 26 ft box truck safely.
• Collect and deliver medical waste containers at customer locations and store them as required.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive relationships with customers.
• Deliver on time and communicate schedule changes clearly.
• Load and unload and organize the truck per schedule needs.
• Comply with DOT regulations, log hours and comply with inspections.
• Pushing/pulling a cart weighing up to 200 lbs.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver who can operate a box truck (26 feet) across the Dothan, AL area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily.

• Operating 26 ft box truck in a safe manner
• Safely collect, deliver and store our medical waste containers at customer locations
• Providing strong customer service and building positive customer relationships
• Completing deliveries to time schedule and clearly communicating changes
• Loading and unloading and organizing your truck per schedule needs
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections
• Pushing/pulling a four-wheeled cart that weighs as much as 200lbs!!
• Minimum 2 YEARS Delivery experience within a 26 foot box truck and VALID DOT MEDICAL CARD
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Proven longevity in past employment
