Qualifications

• Good navigational skills – can read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area, including navigating adverse terrain and multi‑story buildings

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment
• Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler
• Prepare product
• Receive and process telephone orders
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily
• Comprehend and give correct written instructions
• Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator)
• Make correct monetary change
• Process orders using verbal, written, and telephone skills
• Use motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to rapidly and accurately make precise movements with speed
• Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen

Work Conditions

• Varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions while delivering product, driving, couponing and performing other outside tasks
• In‑store temperatures ranging from 36° F in cooler to 90° F or higher in some work areas
• Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside

• Exposure to cornmeal dust
• Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler
• Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500° F or higher

Physical Requirements

• Driving: Deliver pizzas within a designated delivery area, typically several deliveries per shift
• Standing: Most tasks performed from a standing position
• Walking: Deliver personnel travel between store, delivery vehicle and customer locations
• Lifting: Bulk product deliveries made twice a week or more, unloaded using a hand truck; lifts up to 50 lb, dimensions up to 3' × 1.5'
• Carrying: Carry pizzas and beverages while walking and climbing; large cans weighing 3 lb 7 oz; occasionally pizza sauce 30 lb; trays of dough roughly 12 lb per tray carried three at a time
• Pushing: Move trays on dollies; stack of trays pushes 24–30 lb requiring force up to 7.5 lb
• Pulling: Trays may also be pulled
• Climbing: Navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery; occasional ladder use for sign changes, wall washing, maintenance
• Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at waist at pizza assembly station; feet typically allowed but no knee flex while standing
• Duration: Activities lasting 30–45 seconds at a time, repeated continuously during the day
• Forward bending: Present at front counter and stocking ingredients
• Crouching/Squatting: Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas
• Reaching: Continuous up, down, forward
• Hand tasks: Eye‑hand coordination essential; continuous use of hands during day; frequent use of forearms and wrists for dough shaping
