Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Delivery Driver in Texas to safely operate a Graybar truck, deliver orders, and provide excellent customer service on a local route, with no overnights.

The role typically runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with home every night and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and sick days, and employee stock ownership plan.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills are essential for daily customer contact.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and CMV certification requirements.
• Experience driving a van or truck at or below 26,000 GVWR is required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical testing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to Graybar customers while providing excellent customer service.
• Load and unload trucks using warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Inspect vehicle and supplies and maintain proper truck logs.
• Determine best routes for delivery to meet customer expectations.
• Safely operate vehicle at all times on local routes.
• Work a local route with no overnights or weekends away.

More than a job - a career.As a Delivery Driver, you will have face-to-face contact with customers as you deliver orders. You will safely drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, providing on-time delivery and good customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and passing along customer feedback, and even promoting services and products! One advantage of this role is that it is typically Monday-Friday during the day and you will be home each night.
