Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Delivery Driver in Des Moines, IA to safely operate a Graybar truck or van, deliver orders, and provide excellent customer service. You’ll typically work Monday–Friday daytime, with routes that keep you home each night and no overnights.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license for the vehicle type, the ability to pass pre-employment physical testing and the DOT medical exam, and experience driving a van or light truck (<= 26,000 GVWR). Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license for the vehicle type.
• Able to pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and CMV certification.
• Experience driving a van or 26,000 GVWR truck.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to Graybar customers with excellent service.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Determine best routes to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain vehicle logs and drive safely at all times.

More than a job - a career.As a Delivery Driver, you will have face-to-face contact with customers as you deliver orders. You will safely drive a Graybar truck or van from the warehouse to each destination, providing on-time delivery and good customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relations and passing along customer feedback, and even promoting services and products! One advantage of this role is that it is typically Monday-Friday during the day and you will be home each night.
