Job summary

Xerox is seeking a Delivery Driver to support the greater Houston, TX area. This full-time role involves loading, securing, delivering and basic setup of equipment while delivering excellent customer service.

Typical hours are Monday–Friday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with occasional overtime; overtime compensation and benefits are provided. Training and career development are included to ensure safe and effective deliveries.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• 1+ years of experience driving a 16'–26' box delivery truck preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs.
• Basic mechanical understanding.
• Ability to use smartphones/tablets and GPS for navigation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications and Internet.
• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic box truck safely and timely, including daily vehicle inspection.
• Abide by transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Load, deliver, install and collect equipment at customer locations.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout deliveries.
• Provide basic training on copiers, printers and office equipment.
• Perform general technical duties like connecting equipment to networks and fax lines.
• Assist in warehouse tasks when needed.

Overview: Xerox Corporation, is an information services technology company that has continually redefined the workplace experience for more than 100 years is currently seeking a Delivery Driver to support the greater Houston, TX. As a Delivery Driver you will be responsible for loading, securing, delivering and basic set-up of equipment, while providing excellent customer service. This is a full-time (Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM with occasional overtime) opportunity delivering equipment.

What You Will Do:

• Operate an automatic box truck in a safe and timely manner, including daily inspection of the vehicle
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Load, deliver, install and collect equipment at various customer locations
• Provide excellent customer service
• Provide basic customer training on copiers, printers and other office technology equipment
• Perform general technical duties such as connecting equipment to network cables and fax lines
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse when needed

What You Need to Succeed:

• Valid Driver’s License
• One (1) or more years of experience driving a 16’ – 26’ box delivery truck preferred but not required – we provide the training!
• Ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs., push, pull, or roll copiers on flat ground and inclines.
• Basic mechanical understanding preferred
• Ability to use smartphones and tablets, GPS for navigation, Google Maps when necessary.
• Experience using Microsoft applications and the Internet
• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills

• Job shadowing to thoroughly prepare you to make deliveries and perform installations independently

• May be required to complete an annual DOT physical and drug screen if operating a vehicle weighing over 10,000 lbs.
