Job summary

Xerox Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Delivery Driver to load, deliver and install equipment while delivering excellent customer service on a full-time schedule, typically 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with occasional overtime.

You will operate a box truck, perform safety inspections, train customers on copiers and printers, and support warehouse tasks as needed. Training is provided and benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required or in process.
• 1+ years driving a 16–26 ft box delivery truck preferred.
• Able to lift 50–75 lbs and move/copier equipment.
• Basic mechanical understanding is preferred.
• Proficient with smartphones/tablets and GPS navigation.
• Experience with Microsoft Applications and Internet use.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic box truck safely and on schedule.
• Load, deliver, install and collect equipment at customer sites.
• Provide basic training to customers on copiers and printers.
• Connect equipment to network cables and fax lines as needed.
• Follow all transportation laws and maintain a clean driving record.
• Assist in warehouse tasks as needed.

Overview:

Xerox Corporation, is an information services technology company that has continually redefined the workplace experience for more than 100 years is currently seeking a Delivery Driver to support the greater Houston, TX . As a Delivery Driver you will be responsible for loading, securing, delivering and basic set-up of equipment, while providing excellent customer service. This is a full-time (Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until 4:30 PM with occasional overtime) opportunity delivering equipment.

What You Will Do:

• Operate an automatic box truck in a safe and timely manner, including daily inspection of the vehicle
• Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record
• Load, deliver, install and collect equipment at various customer locations
• Provide basic customer training on copiers, printers and other office technology equipment
• Perform general technical duties such as connecting equipment to network cables and fax lines
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse when needed

What You Need to Succeed:

• Valid Driver’s License
• One (1) or more years of experience driving a 16’ – 26’ box delivery truck preferred but not required – we provide the training!
• Ability to lift 50 – 75 lbs., push, pull, or roll copiers on flat ground and inclines.
• Basic mechanical understanding preferred
• Ability to use smartphones and tablets, GPS for navigation, Google Maps when necessary.
• Experience using Microsoft applications and the Internet
• Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills

How We Set You Up for Success:

• Hands-on training of Xerox equipment and all aspects of the delivery driver role and responsibilities
• Job shadowing to thoroughly prepare you to make deliveries and perform installations independently

*May be required to complete an annual DOT physical and drug screen if operating a vehicle weighing over 10,000 lbs.
