Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking a customer-focused role in North Carolina to support delivery operations and maintain clear communication with delivery teams, clients, and customers to resolve issues ensuring timely deliveries.

You will handle order administration, scheduling, dispatch, documentation, and proactive problem solving, while maintaining various logs and reports. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), stock purchase, PTO, life and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent experience.
• One year customer service experience preferred.
• Routing, dispatch, and warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administration of orders received at the facility for delivery, updating customer portals and internal systems.
• Prompt scheduling of deliveries to the end consumer per client SOPs.
• Routing process for outbound delivery trucks focusing on service, revenue per truck, driver selection and dispatch.
• Completes all shipment statuses in operating systems and portals, collecting PODs and communicating extra charges per SOPs.
• Maintains bill of lading, labeling, manifest, pick sheets and other documents for planning, loading and delivery processes.
• Communicates with urgency with all parties and informs of schedule or delivery issues, answering questions and implementing solutions.
• Monitors delivery teams' progress through routes and schedules and makes adjustments as necessary.
• Advises delivery teams on proper actions regarding customer or logistics problems that could affect deliveries.
• Verifies merchandise by matching customer and sales receipt information.
• Resolves customer service issues by identifying best solutions and following up for complete resolution.
• Prepares quality reports, load out reports, dispatch logs and tracking logs, and setup of manifests
• Manages exceptions such as late departures/arrivals, breakdowns, in-home service issues, go-backs, accidents, damages, or illness.
