Job summary

Hyundai Capital America (HCA) is seeking a Loss Mitigation Associate to manage delinquent accounts from 80 days past due through charge-off. You will conduct account research, contact customers, perform skip tracing, and negotiate resolutions in line with policies and regulatory requirements.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to protect company assets while maintaining customer-focused communication and compliance.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in late-stage collections, loss mitigation, delinquency management, or account recovery activities.
• Experience performing skip tracing activities to locate customers and obtain updated contact information.
• Automotive finance, consumer lending, banking, or financial service industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Working knowledge of late-stage collections, customer account servicing, delinquency management, or loss mitigation practices.
• Ability to use skip tracing tools and account servicing systems to locate customers and support resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of delinquent accounts from 80 days past due through charge-off.
• Conduct inbound and outbound collection activities, including negotiating payment arrangements.
• Perform skip tracing to locate customers and verify contact information.
• Document all activity accurately in servicing systems for compliance and future collection efforts.
• Collaborate with internal partners to resolve complex issues and support recovery outcomes.
• Monitor the collection lifecycle and ensure timely follow-ups and adherence to guidelines.
