Job summary

Hanscom Federal Credit Union is seeking a Collector to join our Branch Network in a hybrid work setup. You will review delinquent loans, coordinate with members, and document activities to support timely resolutions while upholding member-first service standards.

The role requires 1–3 years in financial services or collections and a high school diploma. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps (Excel/Word) and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year up to three years of experience in financial services, lending, loan servicing, or collections.
• High school degree or equivalent.
• Direct credit union collections experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review delinquent loans and prioritize workload by delinquency stage, balance, risk, and loss exposure.
• Place restrictions on lines of credit, Check Guardian privileges, and deposit accounts; maintain complete, accurate documentation.
• Evaluate payment arrangements, loan modifications, or workout options in line with policy and authority.
• Engage members to understand financial circumstances and establish reasonable payment plans.
• Maintain organized electronic records and accurate account coding; support audits and compliance.
• Conduct skip-tracing to locate members and update contact information.
