Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a Deli Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient customer service in a fast-paced deli environment. You will prepare sandwiches, salads, and trays, maintain case cleanliness, and ensure product freshness while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to translate pounds and ounces into decimals.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Use of hair restraint required (hair net or hat).
• Wear clean uniform and name tag at all times.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, in person and on the phone.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, deli cases, and backroom.
• Follow proper personal hygiene and time/temperature controls.
• Slice and weigh lunch meats and cheeses; obtain customer approval on slice thickness.
• Establish product knowledge and assist with customer questions.
