Schnucks is seeking motivated Deli Clerks to join our team in delivering fresh meals and exceptional customer service. You will prepare sandwiches, manage display cases, and ensure all food safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include slicing meats and cheeses, weighing items, and assisting customers with product selection while maintaining cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced deli setting.

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to translate pounds and ounces into decimals.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays, weekends.
• Hair restraint required (hair net or hat).
• Clean uniform and name tag worn at all times.
• Use of cut gloves and safe use of knives.
• Poly gloves required at all times for food safety.
• Slip-resistant shoes required.
• Ability to determine spoiled or damaged product.
• Food preparation experience is a plus.
• Team-oriented, customer-focused attitude.

Responsabilidades

• Provide friendly, courteous service in person and on the phone.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Keep work area, deli cases, and backroom clean per food safety guidelines.
• Follow personal hygiene requirements.
• Follow time/temperature controls.
• Follow food handling practices to prevent cross-contamination.
• Follow sanitation principles.
• Operate meat and cheese slicers, scales and wrapping equipment.
• Prepare sandwiches, salads and party trays per recipes.
• Pull products from cases for storage and rotation (closing).
• Offer samples to customers and assist with product questions.
