Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring an Assistant Deli Manager in Scottsdale to assist the Deli Manager with daily operations, including ordering, inventory, and staff supervision. You will help ensure high-quality products, engaging customer service, and a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with 2 years supervisory experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work in a team.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customer interaction and order taking.
• Proven leadership to motivate staff and meet financial goals.
• Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills.
• Food Safety certification and compliance with regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Experience with deli/product knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Deli team.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team that brainstorms to deliver the finest quality of product, highest level of service, and the greatest experience your customers will receive.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Deli team
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment
• Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Deli team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures.
